Sprint 7 took was divided up into 2 parts. Originally it took place on Monday 23rd Oct in The Hub where our team met up to discuss all the work we had to split up for the upcoming week.
We have done the BMC the week beforehand so we were happy with this being a lighter week workload wise. We split up all the tasks we had to do and updated each other on what we've been working on so far so that we're all on the the same page when it came to things like the production price and where it came from and who we talked to about our product ThawSafe amongst other things.
We concluded our sprint and went about our week knowing that we all were aware of what we had to do individually and what all our teammates were doing also.
Throughout the week we noticed other teams talking and working on their deliverables for the module that we haven't realized we had to do. It was a busy week full of lectures so none of us had much time to meet up and recheck if we had all tasks accounted for.
We tried to message each other and discuss what we were missing. We found that it didn't work well as not all of us were online at the same time. Any attempt felt like it resulted in a virtual meeting without the team since it would sometimes take a couple of hours for a person to reply.
The 'virtual meeting' approach wasn't working so we decided to hold another meeting.
Sprint 7 part B was scheduled to occur on Friday after all the lectures were over in the Hub. Unfortunatley, on Thursday one of our team members sprained their ankle quite badly and couldn't attend Fridays meeting.
All the members of the team were very determined to preform well in the module. At this point we were very much aware of the fact that we were missing some of the tasks that we haven't been aware of before. We were all very motivated to not lower our grade like we did a couple of weeks ago when we forgot to submit one of the documents and were very disappointed with ourselves afterwards.
Luckily one of the team members had access to a car on Friday so we decided to make a house call and hold the meeting in our injured friends room.
We held our meeting and divided up all the tasks again, knowing this time, that everything deliverable this week was assigned correctly. Thankfully it was only Friday and we still had 2 days to do the extra work.
At the end of the day, we all put in the effort to preform well, visited our injured teammate, managed to get all the work assigned and done and hopefully got our grade to remain where it is. We were all very happy that we realized in time that we didn't have all the work done. It was quite inconvenient to try to message each other so much and have another meeting but when you have a team like we do, where everyone is determined to preform to the best of their abilities, then work gets done, inconvenient or not.
We all feel very lucky that we're all on the same page in that regard.
That concluded our meeting and the week.
